i have learned that if i dont start off my semester completely organized, i’m pretty much fucked… not doing as hot this semester.
God is so good to his people. I have been working my butt off for this promotion, and it has been a series of horrible timing and a true test of patience. Well, I finally got it, and along with that comes a raise. I had a number in my head, based on what others had told me they had received. Well, my raise far exceeded my expectations, and it is a true story of God rewarding me for being patient. I would pray every night for God to ease my anticipation and show me why it would be a good idea to be patient. And this is just the icing on top of the cake. So blessed.
this weekend was amazing. saturday i had an awesome day at work and then hung out with tj afterwards. i dragged him shopping along with his friend edwin, but it was fun. :) then we went on chat roulette and met a guy from holland! he was an engineer, kinda cool… and then it was an amazing night and morning. :) i just got back from my birthday dinner with my family, and i was just so overwhelmed by their presence and love. they’ve all done so much for me, and when they sang me happy birthday i just started tearing up.. they’ve done more than what they should as a family and fill the gaps that are left by my mom not being there. them singing to me just reminded me of how crazy my mom would sing me happy birthday. idk emotional night, but i feel so blessed. goodnight world.

Christmas just isn’t the same without my mom. I try to get excited for it each year but without her joy and excitement and bringing my family together to celebrate its true meaning of Jesus’ birth, it’s just empty. Idk I guess next year I’ll just work harder at being more like her.
